Over the last few months I have been learning more and more about HTML/CSS/JS by making some games. It has really been a fun and engaging way to self learn. For quick access I will add links to the home page each time I create a new one… but here are some of the ones I have already made at the time of this post:
Quick Math Game:
I called it the quick math game not just because it was a quick and easy project to make, but also cause you gotta practice your quick math skills. As boring as it sounds its actually one of my most played game between kids (cause I force them to play as a teacher) and between adults (because we are competitive to get the highest score)
Ball Pit Game:
I wanted to practice using the Canvas Element to make a game. It was pretty fun to make because it reminded me of the flash games of old and the inspiration was combination between Snake and the old school Win95 screensavers.
Lineem:
A puntastic name based on Lyneham and the fact that this game has you acquiring lines of cards. This grid drafting mechanic is something I have been playing around with for a while and ironically Splendor Duel used something oh so similar to it. Hope I can capitalise it in a full boardgame design, but here it is demonstrated in a mirco card game that only uses 36 cards in total.
